1. Vung Chua – Yen Island
Vung Chua – Yen Island is located about 10km southeast of Ngang Pass. This is the final resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap and a new tourist attraction of Quang Binh province. After visiting Vung Chua, visitors can combine to explore Yen Island, about 20 minutes by boat to learn about the habitat of swiftlets and admire the wild beauty of interesting rocky beaches.
2. Jumping Stone Beach
From the center of Dong Hoi city, visitors move along Highway 1A about 30km to Da Nhay beach. This place is likened to the harmony of the sea and rocky mountains, creating a beautiful natural scene that captivates visitors. Every summer, Da Nhay beach is filled with tourists from all over the world to enjoy the cool sea breeze and watch the immense ocean. Because it is located on the same route, you can combine visiting Vung Chua – Yen Island or Canh Duong mural village… to save time.
3. Chay River – Dark Cave
In 2011, Song Chay – Dark Cave eco-tourism area was put into operation by Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and became an ideal destination for those who want to experience adventure sports. Many interesting activities here such as kayaking, ziplining, swimming in the river, mud bathing, exploring Dark Cave… Depending on the needs of visitors, the entrance price fluctuates around 450,000 VND/person. If you want to explore the Dark Cave and take a mud bath, the entrance fee will be higher.
4. Phong Nha Cave
In 2003, Phong Nha cave was recognized by UNESCO as a world natural heritage according to geological criteria and in 2015 recognized as a world natural heritage according to biodiversity criteria. Therefore, in order to answer the question “Where should Quang Binh tourism go”, it is definitely impossible to ignore the discovery of large and small caves around this central strip of land and most typically Phong Nha cave. After traveling 30 minutes on the Son River, visitors will reach the mouth of Phong Nha cave and explore one of the longest water caves in the world with a length of nearly 8km.
5. Mooc Spring
Similar to Chay River – Dark Cave, Suoi Mooc eco-tourism area has been put into operation and tourism. Visitors coming here will be immersed in the cool water of the stream, experience water games or kayak with friends.
In the tourist area, there are also huts to rest and eat with special rice and grilled chicken to serve visitors. Currently, the ticket price to visit Suoi Mooc has 2 prices: 80,000 VND (including entrance ticket) and 180,000 VND (including entrance ticket, experience natural swimming pool, suspension bridge and kayaking).
6. Nhat Le Beach
Quang Binh province has 116km of seaway, so it owns many beautiful and famous beaches. In particular, the most famous is Nhat Le beach located in the center of Dong Hoi city with long sandy beaches, clear blue sea and rare wild look. If you have the opportunity to come here, in addition to relaxing in the cool water, do not miss the moment to watch the sunrise on the sea or admire the beautiful sunset scene.
7. Quang Phu Sand Dunes
About 10km from the city center, visitors have stopped at one of the most attractive destinations in Quang Binh – Quang Phu sand dunes. Most visitors come here to check-in the desert-like pictures on the long stretches of white sand and experience interesting skateboarding activities. The best time to come to the sand is before 9am or after 3pm. This is the time when the sun is gentle, the sand is not too hot, suitable for tourists to visit and take pictures.
