Besides the architecture of mausoleums, palaces…, garden houses are also a unique architectural style of Hue. There are both traditional folk colors and a haughty, aristocratic appearance. The space leading to An Hien garden house
An Hien garden house has an area of up to 4608m2, the front overlooks the famous Perfume River. The garden house’s campus is imbued with the traditional architecture of Vietnam at that time. The entrance to the garden house is a simple archway built of lime mortar. Next, you can walk on the path with two rows of tall white plums intertwined to form a shady “umbrella”.
After stepping through the screen with the word “Tho” meticulously sculpted and carrying feng shui meaning (the ancients believed that this screen would help the homeowner prevent bad things), you will come across Rectangular lake with lotus flowers, water lilies and many ornamental plants decorated around.

The most important and prominent work in the garden area is the ruong house – a house with the entire structure of columns and trusses made of wood, linked entirely by wooden pegs and tenons. Although more than 100 years old, the sophistication of the interior of the house is still very well preserved. From the door system of the table to the carvings of dragons, phoenixes, flowers, leaves … vivid or the details of mosaics over a century still shiny.
In addition to the impressive architecture, inside this house, there are also many precious memorabilia of the Nguyen Dynasty, such as the painting “Van Vo Trung Hieu” given by King Bao Dai in 1937, a number of poems by King Thanh Thai. … The antique furniture inside the house is also kept and neatly arranged.
