Minh Thanh Pagoda was built in 1964, experiencing many historical changes, this temple has been damaged in many parts. Therefore, in 1997, the pagoda was restored and built strangely, since then, Minh Thanh Pagoda has become a place of worship and incense offering of Buddhists in the region.
Over the course of 10 years of restoration, Minh Thanh Pagoda seems to have been changed into a new shirt with an architectural style heavily influenced by Eastern countries such as China, Taiwan or Japan. When you arrive at Minh Thanh Pagoda, you will immediately see a 72m high relic stupa. This stupa has a square bottom, 9 floors high and has a pointed tower, each floor of the stupa is a work of art.
The campus of Minh Thanh Pagoda places a statue of Buddha in the center of the entrance, next to it is decorated with many green trees and stone pillars. There is also a statue of Amitabha Buddha which is 7.5m high and weighs about 40 tons. On the way to the temple hall, you will come across several large paintings written on the Buddha’s teachings to Buddhists and sentient beings. In front of the main hall, there are stone statues of 18 Arhats, to the right of the main hall is a collection of many works such as: the hall, the meditation hall, the lecture hall and the sand sutra.
In particular, located to the left of the main hall is the Tu An tower worshiping the founding father. This tower features three floors, roofed with dragon scales and decorated with stylized dragon or lotus petals. The architecture of Tu An tower is quite similar to the pagoda lights of the pagodas in “the land of Phu Tang”, but with the skillful combination of the builder, this tower is still imbued with the Vietnamese national identity.
In addition, to the left of the main hall of Minh Thanh Pagoda, there is a bell tower that weighs about 4 tons. This bell tower has stairs up and down so that Buddhists and visitors can admire and admire the scenery of Minh Thanh Pagoda from above.
